Contact Lens Management

Contact lenses are now available for nearly every type of prescription and in a variety of replacement options. We offer a wide range of contacts, including:

Disposable or Frequent Replacement Lenses

Available for virtually any refractive error correction. In addition to either near sighted or farsighted prescriptions, disposables are now available in both astigmatic and bifocal corrections.

Single Use Lenses

This is the fastest growing segment of the contact lens industry and refers to two distinct types of contacts. First, the daily disposable lens, which is worn for a day then discarded and requires no solution. This option is strongly recommended for first time contact lens wearers. The second type are designed to be worn for 1 month of continuous wear ten discarded. These new silicon-hydrogel lenses offer significantly greater oxygen transmission than previously available extended-wear lenses.

Rigid Lenses

Rigid gas permeable lenses (RGPs) are usually custom designed for each weare and available in virtually every prescription. RGPs are worn on a daily basis, however, there are now RGP contacts with FDA approval for extended wear as well. THe new super oxygen permeable lenses are being used to reshape the cornea while sleeping, so no contact or glasses wear is required during the day. For more information visit the Orthokeratology page of our site.

Specialty Lenses

Extraordinary refractive error and/or condition of the cornea require specialty lenses. Custom designed soft lenses are now available for bifocal astigmatic corrections as well as those patients with large astigmatic prescription. Hybrid lenses, which combine soft and rigid lens materials, are available for crisp vision and good comfort. Call our office for more details.

We offer a variety of brands and correction options, so please contact us or visit the products page for more information on what we carry.
